Woman Receives Probation After Shooting Partner at Gurnee Hotel. Angela M. Mack of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, was sentenced to probation following an incident in which she shot her partner outside the Ten Hotel in Gurnee on Thanksgiving Day 2025. Authorities say Mack fired at her partner after an argument, leaving him wounded, and then stood over him with a firearm. The case led to charges including aggravated battery and reckless discharge of a firearm. Mack ultimately pleaded guilty as part of her sentencing in Lake County.
