Rye Police Sergeant Michael Larkin Retires After Over 40 Years of Service. Sergeant Michael Larkin of the Rye Police Department has retired after more than forty years of service, concluding his career on February 23, 2026. Larkin, a lifelong Rye resident and Rye High School alumnus, began working with the department as a teenager and held several roles over the years, including park ranger, bay constable, and auxiliary police officer before becoming a sworn officer.
