Former Livingston County Board Member Francis Kosakowski Dies at 89. Francis "Fran" Kosakowski, a former member of the Livingston County Board of Supervisors, died at age 89 on February 22 at his home. Kosakowski began his service in 1986 on the Livonia Town Board and later was town supervisor for eight years until retiring in 1997. He lent his expertise to several county committees, including finance and social services. Kosakowski was also known for his involvement with the Livonia Fire Department and Rotary Club. Bloomfield Girls and Area Boys Teams Advance in Sectional Basketball Play. Bloomfield girls moved forward following a lead performance from Calla McCombs, while area teams such as Mynderse and Waterloo boys advanced to the quarterfinals. Wayne-Finger Lakes Basketball: Players Reach 1,000 Points, Sectional Results Update. Tuesday marked the second day of high school basketball sectional play in the Wayne-Finger Lakes region, where nearly a dozen teams progressed to the next round. Two senior athletes, Stephen LeBrecht of Lyons and Hunter Vogt of Gananda, each surpassed the 1,000-point career milestone, with Vogt becoming the second Gananda player to reach this achievement this season. In girls' games, Marcus Whitman secured an overtime win over Mynderse, while Williamson/Marion narrowly defeated Penn Yan.
