Canandaigua National Bank Opens First Branch in Downtown Syracuse. Canandaigua National Bank, originally based in Canandaigua, has opened its first Central New York branch at 333 W. Washington St. in downtown Syracuse. The bank plans to add three more locations in DeWitt, Cicero, and Liverpool within the year, with expectations to hire 15 to 20 new employees. Leaders selected Syracuse after evaluating growth opportunities throughout the state and intend to foster economic development locally.
