Two Arrested in Bath After Traffic Stop Leads to Methamphetamine Charges. A traffic stop on West Washington Street in Bath on February 16 resulted in drug possession charges for two individuals. Police found suspected methamphetamine concealed under the driver's seat, with the driver named as Melissa A. Olin of Avoca. Additional methamphetamine was discovered on the passenger, identified as James L. Turner of Bath. Both suspects were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and released on appearance tickets to await a court date. Dundee and Hammondsport School Districts Consider Joint Athletic Partnership. The Dundee and Hammondsport school districts are in early discussions about forming a new athletic partnership aimed at providing more stable sports opportunities for students. Both districts currently work with other neighboring schools for various sports, and existing Penn Yan agreements for Dundee are expected to remain unchanged. The idea emerged following Bradford's initiative to explore merging with Dundee. If the proposal is approved, the joint sports program could begin in the 2026–27 school year.
