An assault at Lakeview Correctional Facility in Brocton on February 23 left both a civilian counselor and a correction officer hospitalized, with one injury diagnosed as a concussion. The incident began when a 34-year-old inmate unexpectedly attacked a female counselor during a classroom session. Responding officers struggled to control the inmate, eventually requiring four officers to restrain him after failed attempts with OC spray. Wayne-Finger Lakes Basketball: Players Reach 1,000 Points, Sectional Results Update.
