Suspect in Waukegan Funeral Home Shooting Previously Pleaded Guilty to Gun Charge. Salvador Garibay-Sanchez, a 31-year-old from Racine, Wisconsin, faces attempted murder and aggravated battery charges after allegedly firing on two people at Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Waukegan. The incident took place Friday evening, with one victim sustaining multiple gunshot wounds and another also injured. Garibay-Sanchez had recently completed probation for a prior gun-related offense in 2023. He is currently being held in Lake County Jail pending trial.
