Crystal Lake Commission Approves Zoning Change for New 179-Home Subdivision. A city commission in Crystal Lake has approved a zoning change for a 63-acre parcel at 275 S. Main Street, moving forward plans for a subdivision of 179 single-family homes by Atlanta-based Pulte Homes. The site, initially designated for an Amazon Distribution Center in 2021, will instead feature new homes with variable lot sizes, as well as public green spaces and parks. The planned development aims to utilize the area for residential growth following the cancellation of the previous warehouse project.
