Palmyra Man Killed in Thruway Tractor-Trailer Collision in Oneida County: A collision between two tractor-trailers on the New York State Thruway in Westmoreland, Oneida County, resulted in the death of 76-year-old Robert G. Wells of Palmyra early on March 5. State Police reported that Wells died at the scene after his vehicle struck a car carrier operated by Ahmad Riyad Alomori of New Jersey. Alomori sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Wynn Hospital for evaluation. Further details regarding the cause of the crash have not been released by authorities.
