  1. Springwater Man Faces Drug-Impaired Driving Charges After Canadice Crash: A 37-year-old Springwater resident, Ryan W. Folts, was cited after driving his vehicle into a ditch along State Route 15A in the Town of Canadice early Friday morning. Ontario County Sheriff's deputies determined he was operating the vehicle while impaired by drugs and had a revoked driver's license. Folts was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and aggravated unlicensed operation. He was released with citations and is scheduled to appear in Canadice Town Court. Genesee Valley Conservancy Secures Conservation of Nearly 1,000 Acres in Southern Tier: Two major forest properties in Steuben and Livingston counties have been placed under conservation protection following a state grant of $577,220 to the Genesee Valley Conservancy. The preserved land includes an 841-acre tract in Steuben County, important for water quality and carbon storage, as well as a 135-acre parcel at the headwaters of Hemlock Lake in Springwater.
