One Fatality Reported After Multi-Vehicle Collision on Route 17 Near Nichols: A fatal chain-reaction crash occurred early Saturday on Route 17 in the town of Nichols, following a deer-related incident. A BMW X5 struck a deer and stopped partially in the right lane. As occupants exited the vehicle, a Suzuki sedan collided with the BMW, resulting in one immediate fatality and another person hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
