Forest Rangers Locate Missing Hiker on Gothics Mountain in Nighttime Rescue: Forest Rangers responded to a nighttime emergency on Gothics Mountain in the Adirondacks after a 42-year-old hiker became lost from their group on February 7. Following a call from the Johns Brook Lodge caretaker, seven Rangers located the individual safe and walking by 11 p.m. and guided them back to reunite with their group.
