Driver Faces Charges After Striking Squad Car, Leading Pursuit in Lake County: Authorities have charged a 73-year-old Woodridge man following an incident where he struck a police vehicle and led officers on a prolonged chase. The pursuit began in Bensenville after police attempted to stop the man's vehicle for expired registration. The chase covered several counties and ended on Interstate 94 near Libertyville, with the suspect taken into custody. No major injuries were reported as a result of the pursuit.
